Abraham,

Fall is a normal time to start seeing more insects and pest inside homes, because it is getting cold outside and the bugs are trying to find a warm place to hide out for the winter.

The best way to stop this from happening would be to have a pest control professional come out to your home and spray around all the doorways and windows in the early fall. Spraying around your windows and doors will make a perimeter so that no more spiders will make their way inside. Since you already have them inside just treating the exterior will not completely solve the problem.

The best way to deal with the spiders inside your house is at this point would be address the ones already inside. In order to do this we spray all around your baseboards, windows, and doorways throughout the house and also in the basement. In the basement we also will treat the upper rafter area because that is a common area for spiders to hide out.

When putting chemicals inside a home we do have some preperations that need to be done. These include moving any clutter/items (do not have to move couch, entertainment centers, etc.) away from the baseboard area. If you have drapery or blinds on the windows it is suggested, but not required, that you move them away from the windows so that there is no chance of damaging them. Also, we do say that all people and pets need to be out of the house for 3-4 hours (longer if pregnant or has breathing problems) after the treatment is done.

I hope that this explination of the process helps you out. Please give me a call if you have any other questions and/or to set up and appointment to have us come out.

I seem to have more than the normal amount of spiders in the house. What can be done about this?

Thank You Kathi for you question. This is a very good question.

Typically, the answer is yes! If you have a state certified pest control professional come out to your home they will know exactly what areas of the home to treat in order to solve your problem.

When using the Fog-bombs/Bug-bombs, chemicals will fill your house and get all over everything. Many times covering areas that you use to cook and eat. When a pest control professional comes to your house and treats a problem they will treat only the areas of the home that actually need to be treated.

If you have any other questions please give us a call at (734) 285-3200.

Thanks again and have a nice day.

Are the products used by professionals in the home, safer than those fog bomb things?
